About
Hello, my name is Aimee and I love sharing a story about as much as I love creating things. Photography was my big inspiration growing up but I have developed a love for all methods of design. I decided to shift my career focus towards multimedia design and content creation.
After completing my Master's in Clinical Nutrition, I spent a few years learning what areas of wellness and food people wanted to know the most about and the ways that technology made wellness difficult for them. During that experience, I have focused a lot of my time and energy working on marketing and administrative strategies for healthcare practitioners before I slowly branched out into the food, art and design worlds.
Along the way, I was consistently reminded of my drive to design for others and how the user experience with design elements in the digital world impacts how people receive information and how businesses are able to grow.
Working remotely in Upstate, NY, I have taken on freelancing in the design field and am ready for a new challenge. To expand my skills, I recently completed a Web Design Certificate program through University of Massachusetts, Lowell where I have developed my experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS, video & multimedia production and e-commerce. I am currently completing the Google UX design certificate course and am ready to serve a wider audience outside of my own communities and am available to take on new projects or an employment opportunity that compliments my wide range of skills, knowledge, and creative drive.

What I Worked On:
Princess Nora's Warrior Foundation is one of my primary clients. I have designed and developed their website and have provided a number of development, content and design services along the way.
Some ways I work with them:
-SEO Management
-Blog writing
-Newsletter set up
-Print-on-demand set up & product design
-Design 8ftx8ft event backdrop
What I Worked On:
I created Virginia's website on the Squarespace platform as a user friendly option for her. I have helped her get her business online so she can better share her career with others in her life and network with other professionals.
Since we developed her website, she has created instructional tools that colleagues frequently request prints of. We have turned her hand painted canvas art into a digital file through photography and graphic design so she can sell printed posters to other instructors in her field that want to use her art as a helpful learning tool.
What I Worked On:
Lauren at Flora & Vino had a live sponsored virtual event with a brand she was working with. They requested she share the recipe she was planning to make in her email as a graphic and create promotional newsletter graphics for them to share. She came to me looking for something playful that meshed the branding between her blog and the brand she was working with.
What I Worked On:
Birch Made is the rebranding of my personal sustainable jewelry and crafts brand. I started making handmade crafts during the pandemic and felt inspired by my love of luxury jewelry and sustainable materials found easily in nature. I sell my products on the woo commerce platform and integrated my shop with Facebook and Instagram selling platforms.
What I Worked On:
I worked as a contracted designer for a marketing agency and set up the primary development for the furniture company. I also worked on and troubleshooted many of their complicated needs when it came to customer information and delivery pricing for online orders. Since they only delivery within a 10 mile radius with a huge variety in price conditions, setting up their woo commerce store correctly was important.
What I Worked On:
I worked as a contracted developer for this Shopify website redesign project for Betty Lou's. I helped set up initial development, added site content, and designed pages based on the mockup provided using mainly CSS & liquid. I used my expertise in nutrition and food allergies to ensure that products were added correctly and all information accurately reflected important allergen information.
What I Worked On:
I was contracted to assist on the On Point Mechanical website redesign project. I made changes to the initial website mockup based on the feedback the client had provided the lead designer. Some changes I made were to turn the center icon from flat to dimensional. I adjusted the header image to fill out more space and better display the company initials 'OPM' & changed the color balance across the page.
In website development, I was in charge of turning their document for website copy into functional and user friendly pages. The pain pages I worked on and designed were Heating, Air Conditioning and Commercial.
This business has a lot of related information about their services so I took on the challenge of breaking everything up into something their customers can easily search for and book an appointment for on their website.
What I Worked On:
A.K. Kitchen & Nutrition was my food and wellness website for many years while I learned web design behind the scenes. I spent a lot of my time working on graphic design that would help my clients easily lean into the next steps of their wellness routines and journeys. I created a 6 week program, several ebooks, user friendly intake forms and detailed nutrition facts and wellness tips through my platform.
I worked with food brands to write relevant nutrition blog posts and developed sponsored recipe & food photography content.
Some brands I worked with over the years:
Splendid Spoon
Bushka's Kitchen
Mountain Rose Herbs
Further Food Collagen
